Edward Frederick Heise Jr., age 83, a resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, died peacefully on Thursday, May 3, He was born March 26, 1929 in Chicago to Edward and Verona Heise.

Eddy grew up in Lombard and attended Glenbard West High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1946 and served on the USS Kearsarge off the coast of Italy. He spent his life as an electrician and was a proud member of Locals 134 and 701. Throughout his career he lived in Glen Ellyn where he raised his family. He retired to Cape Coral, Florida where he enjoyed serving as part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and V.F.W, Eddy loved singing tenor in the choir of New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by five children, Edward Scott (Karen) Heise of Glen Ellyn, Ross Karl (Eileen) Heise of Lombard, Gail Star (Michael) Knighton of Lewisville, TX, Kim Dawn (James) McDaniel of Drexel Hill, PA, and Jeffrey Sven (Jennifer) Heise of Batavia, sixteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by three siblings, Lois (Bill) Kohler of Sanibel, FL, Robert (Jan) Heise of Ft. Myers, Fl, and William (Eileen) Heise of Glen Ellyn as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., West Chicago, IL. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 until the time of service. Interment will be held privately at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
