Edward F. Foster, age 89, a resident of Lombard and formerly a longtime resident of Glen Ellyn, died Tuesday, July 17 at home. He was born on October 4, 1917 in Chicago to John and Mary Foster.

He is survived by his wife Bernice, one son, Ronald (Judy) Foster , nine grandchildren, Leslie (Mike) Dushek, Mike (Lisa) Ashe, Kelly Foster, Lorrie (Mel) Kehr, Karin McLafferty, Tim Ashe, Keith (Kekai) Foster, Kristy Curtis and Carrie Foster, many great-grandchildren, and one brother, John (Bernadette) Foster.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Eileen Ashe and his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton where prayers will begin on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass at St. Petronille Church, 425 Prospect, Glen Ellyn.

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
