Obituary

Edna (nee Andersen) Olson passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Brandel Care Center in Northbrook, IL. She was born on June 26, 1914 at her home in Chicago at 1909 Kenneth Ave. She was 103 and 1/3 years old and loved by many.

Edna was a member of Bethel Community Church and was proud of it! She attended and was active in the church for over 60 years. Some areas that she ministered in were: Sunday School, Choir, Women's Fellowship, Vacation Bible School, White Cross, Women's Tuesday morning Bible Study, Mothers & Others Club, The Lydia Home Sale and Knitters for Lydia, and she supported many missionaries through out the years.

Edna lived in a number of different houses and towns. As a child and when first married she lived in Chicago; later she lived in Oak Park, Norridge, Park Ridge, Niles, Williams Bay (Wisconsin) and Pompano Beach (Florida).

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (nee Olson) Norquist; son-in-law Tom Norquist; daughters-in-law Joy Olson, Doris Olson and Sue Olson; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Olson; her sons, Roger, Gordon and Scott; daughter-in-law Dagmar Olson; grandson Kurt Olson; great-grandsons Rob Bande and Kevin Olson; and five brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Community Church , 7601 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656. Interment will be private at Mount Olive Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
