Edith M. Lawrence, age 82, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died May 30, 2012, at home. She was born to Magnus and Anna Lawrence on February 11, 1930 in Chicago, IL.

Edith loved to send e-mails to her nieces and nephews and they loved to receive them. She was active in the music ministry and the People's Class at Wheaton Bible Church.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth (Alfred) Lissy of Wheaton, IL, her sister-in-law, Dolores Lawrence of Huntley, IL, 14 nieces and nephews, Carole (John) Foster, Randy (Dolores) Lawrence, Penny (John) Dumke, Sharon (David) Hrycewicz, Robert (Amy) Lawrence, Julie (Dan) Norton, Nancy (Sten) Andersson, Paul (Alecks) Syljebeck, Karen (Richard) Berkowitz, David (Carolyn) Lawrence, John (Shannon) Lawrence, Linda Baker, Barbara (Carl) Wheeler, and Donna (Peter) Konz; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry, Arthur and Edwin Lawrence; her sister, Minnie Syljebeck; her sisters-in-law, Laverne and Elaine Lawrence; her brother-in-law, Ray Syljebeck; and her niece, Ruth Ann Jack.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 10:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, IL at 1:00 p.m.
