Edith Carolyn Ewing's Obituary
Edith A. Ewing, age 72, a longtime resident of Wheaton, died at home on Saturday, October 11. She was born on January 26, 1936 in Elmhurst, IL to Herold and Lillian Apel.
She was a graduate of Wheaton College. She was a member of Evangel Baptist Church in Wheaton.
Edith is survived by her husband of 51 years, James, three children, Jim Ewing of Wheaton, Janet (Andrew) Carlson of MN and Catherine (Honbiu) Yu of Winfield, six grandchildren, Benjamin, Rebeccah and Jessie Carlson, Jimmy Ewing, and Emily and Nathan Yu, and a sister, Marian (Coop) Cooper of TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Kenneth Apel.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, from 3 to 4 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 4:00 at Evangel Baptist Church, 1900 Manchester Rd. in Wheaton, IL. A private burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Evangel Baptist Church; or to the National MS Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
