Obituary

Edgar C. Bundy, II, age 92, a resident of Wheaton, died Sunday, February 10, at home. He was born November 1, 1915 in Stamford, CT.

Major Bundy was a retired Air Force Major. He served in the Flying Tigers during World War II and received the Bronze Star medal from Major General Claire Chennault. He was an intelligence officer for the Alaskan Air Command after the war.

Major Bundy briefed the United States Congress on the Soviet threat to the Korean peninsula and warned of the impending fall of China to the Communists.

Edgar Bundy was also an ordained Baptist minister. He became a well known evangelist, preaching throughout the United States and in 72 countries around the world.

He is survived by his sister, Beatrice Bundy Lanier; and his friend, John Mark (Susan) Henry of Springfield, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela May Bundy; and his sister, Irene Bundy Roylance.

Services will be held on Monday, February 18, at 11:00 A.M. at Creveling Cemetery in Bloomsburg, PA.
