Eddie Green Jr., age 73, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his children on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.  He was born July 19, 1949 in Anguilla, Mississippi. He was raised by his grandparents, George and Cornelius Hampton, along with seven first cousins that loved each other as sisters and brothers. He received Jesus as his Savior at an early age and was baptized at Rose Hill Baptist Church. Four days before his passing, Eddie professed that Jesus was His Lord and Savior.

Eddie attended Henry Weather Jr. High School in Rolling Fork, Mississippi.  He moved to Chicago, Illinois to be closer to his family.  For over 40 years, he put in quality service as a Field Services Support Representative for Ricoh.

He loved cooking homemade recipes from scratch, and working out on his exercise equipment.  He loved to travel and visit with family.  He enjoyed listening to and dj-ing music. He loved all music, especially Blues. Also, he liked watching old westerns on his big screen T.V.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother Lorene Green, and his siblings; Charles Green, Dorothy (Curtis) Blanchard, Charlie A. Green, Michelle (Lamont) Edwards, Mary A. Green, Bobby Green.  Additionally, survived by his children, Karen Green Rogers, Brandee Green Barr, Renee Green, Jeremy (Jaime) Green, and Timothy Green Sr.; 12 grandchildren, Ka'Darryl Rogers, Kardell Rogers, Ka'Vonsa Rogers, Julian Barr, Kailayna Barr, Devin Barr, Cameron Barr, Makayla Selvig, Emma Green, Gianna Green, Tyler Green and Timothy Green Jr.; 9 great-grandchildren, Ka'Dariyona, Kharter, Ka'Myria, KeMarrion, Ka'Myia, Keaghan, Kaci, Karsyn, Kaylee; close friend Bernice McPhereson, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Green, Sr., his brother, Bernard Green, and two great-grandchildren, Ka'Darrion Rogers and Kayson Rogers.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 565 Randy Rd., Carol Stream, IL 60188 where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m.  A graveside service will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
