E. Theodore "Ted" Miller 85, of Havana, IL, previously of Wheaton, IL, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2011. He was a member of Wheaton Bible Church for 30+ years, and was recently associated with First Baptist Church in Havana. He was born to Guy and Julia Miller on May 28, 1925. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. He graduated from the University of Michigan and Northwestern University with degrees in journalism. He spent his career with two Christian publishing houses, Scripture Press and Tyndale House, and was founding editor of the Christian Reader Magazine. He married Jeanne Marie Hunt in 1945. She survives. They have four sons: Jim, Oakland, CA; Rich, (Gloria) San Diego, CA; Jon (Leslie) Quincy, IL; and Bob (Terri) Peoria, IL. He is survived by grandsons Judd (Kirsten), and Brian (Karen), granddaughters Karen and Kathryn, and great-grandson Sam. A memorial service will be held on April 30, 11 am, at Wheaton Bible Church.
