Obituary

E. Maxine Gill, age 87, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Windsor's Johnson Health Care Center in Carol Stream, IL. She was born March 16, 1929 in Helena, OK. She was the last of eight children, all of whom have preceded her in death.

On June 5, 1948 Maxine married her best friend, supporter and husband, Bob Gill. They had two children, Wes (Donna) Gill, and Babette (Alan) Dickey. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Connor and Shelby Gill, and Glenn and Todd Dickey.

Maxine was very active in her church and community. She was past President of the PTA, Meals on Wheels, and was the founder and chairman of many Blood Banks. She is a lifetime member of St. Lukes Auxiliary and a member of PEO-chapter KG. In her church she was a member of UMW circle, Kum Double Class, stitching for mission and served as President of the Foundation and Board of Trustees. In Addition to all of her volunteer activities she owned her own Bookkeeping Agency and was owner of The Butterfly, a beauty shop.

Maxine's favorite activity was spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition she loved entertaining, pot lucks, quilting, knitting and playing bridge.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is being planned and will be held at Windsor Park at a later date. Please check back for more information as it becomes available.
