Dorothy C. Williams, age 78, a resident of Lexington Healthcare in Lombard and formerly of Oak Park and the western suburbs, died Friday, August 10, 2007. She was born on November 15, 1928 in Battle Creek, Michigan.

On July 14, 1950, Dorothy married Benjamin D. Williams in Chicago. She worked for 25 years for Sears and retired as a supervisor in the word processing department. She was an active member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Oak Park.

She is survived by two daughters, Day (Michael) Tribble of West Chicago and Diane (Arthur) Anderson of Aurora, four grandchildren, Jennifer Robertson, Nathanael Williams, Melissa Tribble, and Samantha Anderson, three great-grandchildren, one brother, Elwood Crane and one sister, Isabelle Stoll.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin D. Williams, a son, Daniel C. Williams and one infant son.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. Friends may visit with the family from 5 until 7 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
