Dorothy Showman, age 98, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018.  She was born June 25, 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter and Helen Eckhardt.

Dorothy was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and was an active member of the VFW.  She worked as an analyst for the United States Government.

She is survived by her son, David Showman and daughter-in-law Joanne Showman of Wheaton, IL, grandchildren, David P. Showman and Sarah Travis and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Schrader Funeral Home, 14960 Manchester Rd., Baldwin, Missouri. Interment will follow at Valhalla Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
