Dorothy L. Letsche, age 91, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, IL, and formerly of Wheaton and Wood Dale, died March 22, 2011, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. She was born January 5, 1920 in Chicago to Albert and Louise Kimpflin.

Dorothy grew upon the northwest side of Chicago and graduated from Steinmetz High School. She was an avid gardener and artist. From the 1960's until the 1980's she worked with her husband at Automatic Electric Company in Northlake. Her family was a big part of her life.

She is survived by her son, Cary F. Letsche of Ellenton, FL, grandchildren, Carolyn Messina, Carlene Wolfe, Chad Letsche, and Salvatore Messina, four great-grandchildren, and her niece and nephews, Linda Leep, Keith Letsche, and Timothy Turner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curt Letsche, her daughter, Carol Lou Messina, and her sister, Gladys "Babe" Kimpflin.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.
