Dorothy Mae James, age 91, a resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 11, 1919 in Davenport, IA to Charity Braun and Frank Wiles, and raised by her mother and stepfather, William Kitselman.

Dorothy had been an active member of the Oswego community, a member of St. Anne Church and the Oswego Women's Club, and enjoyed many years of great golf with Gordon and their friends at Fox Bend. During her last six years in her daughter's home in Wheaton, IL, she volunteered at the People's Resource Center. She lived a full and happy life.

She is survived by her three sisters, Jean, Irene, and Joanne; her three children, Randy (Jane) James, Greg (Kristy) James, and Pamela (Tom) Knight; ten grandchildren and their spouses; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 65 years, Gordon James; and her sister, Betty.
