Obituary
Dorothy A. Heilbrun, age 90, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, and formerly of Bensenville and Itasca, died Monday, March 12, at Windsor's Johnson Healthcare Center. She was born December 26, 1916 in McKeesport, PA, the daughter of Merle and Mae Alexander.
Dorothy married William C. Heilbrun on February 8, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA. It was in 1962 that she moved to the Bensenville and Itasca areas. She was a graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. She enjoyed Chicago sports, gardening, bird watching, and older Broadway movies. She loved to read all types of novels as well.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Linda) Heilbrun of Dekalb, IL; her sister, Ethel Davidson of Centerville, OH; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 1986; her son, Bill Jr. in 1982; and her daughter, Barbara, in infancy.
Services and interment are private.
