Doris M. Potter (nee Sennet) a 49-year resident of Park Ridge, IL, Doris resided the last 12 years at Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream. She died peacefully November 27, 2018 in the Windsor Park, Johnson Healthcare Center.
Doris was born October 16, 1925 on the northwest side of Chicago. In May 1950, she married her husband, Don and had two children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Doris enjoyed socializing, entertaining family, friends and neighbors and was active at the Park Ridge Senior Center. She had a knack for nurturing flowers and had beautiful baskets adorning her porch and patio. Doris liked to jitterbug, listen to big band music and her favorite singer Frank Sinatra.
She will be missed by her children Diane (Herman) Levine, David (Suzanne) Potter, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents William F. and Caroline Sennet and brother William L. Sennet. Doris is survived by her sister-in-law, Josephine Sennet, and her nieces and nephews.
A private burial was held at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago on December 1, 2018.
