Doris L. Morrison, age 86, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, and formerly of Wheaton, IL, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at home. She was born April 23, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Mabel Kraakevik.

Doris was a life-long member of the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church (now known as The Compass Church ) where she served in the church library and as a Deaconess. She taught at the church's preschool, Sunshine Preschool, for many years.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Karyn) Morrison, Robert (Renee) Morrison and Janet (John) Marquez; her 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Hugh G. Morrison.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 3:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
