Donna E. Paroski, age 63, a resident of Wheaton, died Friday, August 22, 2014, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. She was born September 15, 1950 in Peru, Indiana to Harold J. and Margaret C. McClain. In 1953 her family moved to Kokomo, Indiana where she spent her childhood and teenage years.

Donna graduated from Ladywood School for Girls in Indianapolis in 1968. In the 1970's she moved to Florida where she earned a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. She was employed at Parkside Treatment Center in Florida as a therapist. In 1988 she was relocated by Lutheran General Hospital to the Chicago area. She worked at Parkside in Woodridge and then worked for Rush Behavioral Health as a Director in their Impaired Professionals Program. In 1999 she left to start her own practice in Naperville. Her focus was on helping people with addictions or who suffered from trauma.

She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Naperville for many years. Throughout her life Donna had a passion for music. While at St. Thomas she was a member of the Jubilate Choir at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Naperville. She also enjoyed ministering to people and praying for people as part of their Healing Ministry. In 2012 she and her husband joined Christ Church in Oakbrook. She had hoped to get more involved in several of the ministries at the church. However, her illness prevented this.

She loved outdoor activity, especially hiking and biking.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Paroski of Wheaton and two step daughters , Martann Swope (husband – Cliff) of Jackson, MI and Faith Paroski of Evanston. She also had 2 step grandchildren, Christopher and Madison Swope. She is also survived by 2 sisters and brother-in-laws, Mary and Roy Buckner of Huffman, Texas and Louise and Mike Gammons of Kokomo, Indiana.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Robert, Donnie, John and Ed McClain.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 29 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL 60563.
