Donna Lee Kott, age 83, a resident of Huntley, went to be with the Lord, peacefully at home on Friday, March 17.  She was born April 26, 1933 in in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Gordon and Jeanette Gallinger.

Donna grew up on a farm in Oshkosh.  After high school she attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where she met Paul  L.  "Bud"  Kott.  They were married on August 3, 1955 in Germany while Bud was deployed in the Army. They raised six children in Des Plaines where they attended the Des Plaines Bible Church.  They also lived in West Virginia and Omaha, Nebraska before moving to Wheaton, Illinois where they were active members of the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church.

After Bud's sudden death in 1994, she moved back to Oshkosh, Wisconsin and last June moved to Huntley, Illinois.

Her faith in Jesus Christ was a central part of her life.  She enjoyed music and singing and loved to be in the garden and planting in the soil.

She is survived by six children, John (Michele) Kott of Crystal Lake, Jean (Rev. Bob) Boerman of Island Lake, Paul (Beth) Kott of Arlington Heights, David (Christa) Kott of Grafton, WI, Kim (John) Rogers of Wind Point, WI, and Dan (Vicki) Kott of Elgin, thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Gallinger and Charles Gallinger and her dear friend, Byron Leinweber.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25, at 2:00 p.m. at Elgin Evangelical Free Church, 1900 Big Timber Rd., Elgin, IL 60123. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
