Donald R. Yehling, age 90, a resident of Monarch Landing in Naperville, IL, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at home. He was born June 15, 1923 in Chicago, IL.
Donald served in the Army during World War II. After the war he began his career as a Pastor. Later he was a Professor of Philosophy at The King's College, NY.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Merna; his three children, James (Mary Kleine) Yehling of Glen Ellyn, IL, Donald (Sue) Yehling of Columbus, OH, and Rebecca Hanna of Geneva, IL; four grandchildren, Jane Hanna, Katherine (Paul) Dunbar, John (Cami) Yehling, and Elisabeth Yehling; and a great-granchild, Bran Yehling.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Beth Yehling; and his sister, Doris Polk.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at College Church in Wheaton, 332 E. Seminary Ave., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
