Donald Q. McDonald, age 94, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, IL, died May 27, 2013, at Johnson Health Care Center in Carol Stream, Illinois. He was born March 13, 1919 in Wheaton, IL.

Don graduated from Wheaton College in 1940. During World War II he served as a Naval Air Transport Officer. He was a member of College Church in Wheaton, IL where he had served as an Elder. He enjoyed singing as a tenor in various churches and also directed church choirs wherever he lived. He was the co-founder of Bondified Systems, Inc. of IL, which merged into MoneyGram International. He finished his career joyfully serving the Lord as a planned giving officer at Wheaton College.

He is survived by his three sons, Robert Q. (Marcy) McDonald, William A. "Sandy" (Millie) McDonald II, and Scot A. (Betty) McDonald; one daughter, Patricia J. (Emmett) O'Hare; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by the children and grandchildren of his second wife.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Anderson McDonald; his second wife, Elizabeth Whitaker Bouslough McDonald; and four siblings, Elsie Orr, Dorothy Chrouser, James McDonald and Robert McDonald.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Windsor Park, 124 Windsor Park Dr., in Carol Stream, IL. Interment is private.
