Donald J. McCluskey, Sr., 77, a resident of Winfield, IL died peacefully at home on March 29, 2020 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

He was born at Loretto Hospital in Chicago, IL on November 16, 1942. Don retired from the USPS in 2009 after 25 years of service. Don enjoyed fishing and boating in Florida with his kids and nieces.  Any time he spent with his grandchildren was special to him. The last few years he was able to spend time in Wisconsin boating, riding his grandson's ATV as well as one of his favorite past times: mowing the lawn with his John Deere.  He truly enjoyed spending time with his Winfield friends.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanne, and four children: sons Donald, Jr. (Jennifer) of Cabot, Arkansas, Michael (Amy) of Plano, IL, daughters Michelle (Dana) Henry of Urbandale, Iowa, and Heather McCluskey of Winfield, IL. Don is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Patrick, Thomas, Ellie, Carolyn, Lauren, Keeleigh and Declan, along with his sister Mary Jane Quinn and three nieces: Kelly, Shannon and Erin.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Gertrude (Wallace) McCluskey.

Due to the ongoing world health crisis, a memorial service to celebrate Don's life will be held at a later date.
