Donald MacBean, age 83, a resident of Wheaton, died Friday, December 23, 2011, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois. He was born on April 17, 1928 to Alexander G. and Dilla MacBean in Evanston, Illinois.
He received a Bachelor's degree in History and Economics from Iowa Wesleyan College in 1950. Donald worked for Chicago and Northwestern Railway as an analyst in Damage Prevention from 1953 until 1975. He then worked in Data Processing at Wheaton College until 1979 and then at National Louis University as Manager of Academic Information Services from 1981 until 1990.
He was a member of Wheaton Bible Church, where he led the High School and College Programs for many years. He also served as Community Relations Manager and Publications Manager of the Fox River Trolly Association and was Managing editor of the Fox River Lines - Newsletter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Avenue, West Chicago.
