Donald William Ilkenhans, age 64, of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

The visitation service will be from 1 PM – 3 PM Sunday, May 26th at Hultgren Funeral Home, Wheaton, IL. The funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation at 3 PM on Sunday, May 26th at Hultgren Funeral Home, Wheaton, IL. Jim Rahtjen of Glenfield Baptist Church will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hultgren Funeral Home.

Donald was born in Chicago, IL on February 4th, 1949. He graduated from Steinmetz High School in 1967.

Donald worked as a switchman for the Soo Line and Canadian Pacific Railroad for 39 years. He was a resident of Chicago, IL, Schaumburg, IL, North Fond du Lac, WI, Bluegrass, IA, St. Paul, MN and Wheaton, IL. He enjoyed old movies, music, helping people in times of need, and restoring old vehicles.

Donald is survived by his son Kenneth W. Ilkenhans and wife Jacqueline, grandchildren Neil Wolfe, Cameron Ilkenhans, Haley and Shelby Ilkenhans, sisters Carol Thurow, Beverly Quattrocchi and husband Thomas Quattrocchi, niece Chantelle Thurow, nephews Trevor Thurow, Tyler and Dustin Quattrocchi, and other family and friends.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents Henry W. Ilkenhans and Ella Ilkenhans and his son Steven A. Ilkenhans.
