Donald Wayne Crawford, beloved Father of 5, Grandfather of 15, passed away May 14, 2015 of natural causes in Schertz, Texas. Prior to moving to Schertz, he was a resident of Carol Stream, IL for 47 years (1967-2013). Born August 3, 1929 in Natoma, Kansas. Author of 5 Christian Books*; President, Crawford Creatives, 1993-2013; Editor: David C. Cook, Tyndale House, and Scripture Press 1959-1991; U.S. Navy Yeoman, 1951-1955, Korea; Teacher, Principal, Instructor 1947-1958; Bachelor of Arts Fort Hays University 1957, Master of Arts in Journalism, University of Missouri, 1963; World Traveler, Distance Runner, Photo/Videographer, Toastmaster, Runner, Vol. Fireman, English Tutor Literacy Vols. of America, Member Kappa Tau Alpha, Lambda Iota Tau.

Don was a wealth of Biblical wisdom, compassion, patience, perseverance and humor to the end. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by sons Gary, Elgin, IL, Douglas & wife Rose, Long Beach, CA, Timothy & wife Leticia, Carol Stream, IL; daughter Sherryl Lynn, Schertz, TX; grandchildren Christina, Robert, Aubrey, Margaret, Marcus, Timothy, Monica, Nicolas and Victoria Claire; great-grandchildren Jackson, Arianna, Madisyn and Vivia, and Donovan and Landon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clareta Crawford (1999), daughter, Margaret Ann Crawford (1982), brothers Tom (1996), Hugh (1972), and twin brother, Robert Crawford (2015).

Visitation will be held Friday, May 22, 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, May 23, 9-11 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home. Interment immediately after at Wheaton Cemetery. His Life will be Celebrated June 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Community Church , 26W401 Geneva Road, Wheaton, IL with Pastor Scott Howington presiding.
