In loving memory of Dolores J. Desideri, who, in keeping with our family tradition of nicknames, we fondly called "Dor". Dor peacefully passed into Eternal Life on March 19, 2020 at 77 years of age.

Born on November 13, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, Dor grew up in Berwyn and graduated from Morton High School. She continued to attend college throughout her life.

Dor had many passions in life, which included a love of learning, music, sitting on the Lyric Opera House board and making beautiful crafts. Anyone who knew her, though, knew her true passion in life was her love of animals. All animals. Dor's pets brought her the greatest joy in life. Even after she could no longer have pets of her own, she always looked forward to doggie visitors while living at the Dupage Care Center.

Dor is survived by her sister June (Billy) Desideri, brother Louis Desideri, sister Sharon (Brad) Desideri, loving aunt to many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Louis & Ann (Preban) Desideri, brothers Ronald (Diones) and Leonard (Pat) Desideri.

A service to celebrate Dolores' life will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL, on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local animal shelter.
