Diane Lynn Outcalt, age 72, a resident of Wheaton since 2003, died on Friday, October 25, 2019, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois.She was born February 26, 1947 in Merton, Wisconsin to Glenn and Marie Ellsworth.

She received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and served the Lord in the church all her life. She loved to sing in choirs and with community coral groups. She and her husband, Alan, enjoyed live theater together with friends. Her love languages were words of affirmation and physical touch.

She met Alan Outcalt on a Ferris wheel at the Wisconsin state fair. They were married in June of 1966. In 1969, Alan went back to college and she worked to support him through school and was supportive in his every endeavor. Throughout their lives they did everything together holding hands.

She loved people and was a dedicated worker at whatever she did. She made lifelong friends of many whom she worked with. She worked as a waitress, did home childcare, was a church secretary, and a real estate agents personal assistant. Her final career as an office coordinator at Wheaton College. She and her husband enjoyed shipboard cruses and she like to travel.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Alan Outcalt, four children, Glen (Gina) Outcalt of Monument, CO, Terry (Amanda) Outcalt of Lillington, NC, Lisa (Chris) Harrison of Graham, NC and Ann (Shawn) Spagnoli of Yorkville, 14 grandchildren, Julia, Jay, Nate, Lex, Victoria, Grant, Ben, Joseph, Bella, Ava, Ashley, Mekenna, Ally, and Lily and her sister, Mary (Art) Watt. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margaret Ellsworth and granddaughter, Rosalie Spagnoli.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 from 5 to 8 at One Line Church, Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.
