Diane Edwards, age 58, passed away on Sunday May 6th, 2018, from a long history of medical complications. She was a resident of Hanover Park, Illinois for 23 years and was born February 5th, 1960 in Chicago to Herbert and Shirley Rosen.

Diane grew up in Rogers Park in Chicago. In 1981, she met Lawrence Edwards through friends and they were married on July 26th, 1985. They lived in Rogers Park where their three children were born. In 1995 they moved to Hanover Park where she passionately worked as a teachers aid for children with special needs at Elsie C. Johnson Elementary School and Jay Stream Middle School.

She volunteered as a Den Mother and enjoyed planning activities for the Cub Scouts, her family, and friends. Di and Larry always looked forward to day long drives and weekend trips throughout the Midwest. She was incredibly creative and took pleasure in beading jewelry, photo scrapbooking, and writing poetry. She loved solving puzzles and spent a lot of mornings with crossword and sudoku books. She participated in a bowling league and loved playing cards with her friends.

Diane is survived by her husband, Lawrence Edwards and their three children; Spencer, Caitlyn, Keenan and her sister, Gail Rosen. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Barry Rosen.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 11th, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m
