Diane F. Drew, age 81, a resident of Winfield, IL, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023.  She was born February 1, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Walter & Stella Sobczak.

Diane grew up in Chicago. She married Tony in 1963. Together, they raised two children. Through the years, she worked at various sewing stores. Sewing was one of her favorite activities. Diane was an avid seamstress, quilter and crafter. Through the years she enjoyed sewing clothes and quilts for her children and grandchildren.

She later attended the College of DuPage and became a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant until she retired.

Diane enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her three grandchildren, Alexandra, Becky and Eric, and her greatgrandson, Julian, were the joy of her life. She also really loved cats and dogs, both as a pet owner and when visiting with others' pets as well.

It goes without saying that Diane's family and friends adored her. She will be missed.

She is survived by her children Robert Anthony (Ximena) Drew of Chicago, and Karen (Steve) Haag of Wausau, WI; her grandchildren Alexandra (Nic) Stadelmann, Becky, and Eric Haag; her great-grandson Julian Stadelmann; and her sister Carol (Richard) Ivanic.

She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony A. Drew.

A visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
