Diane A. Diel, always a joy to be around & loved by many, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home early Tuesday morning December 22. She was able to live out her final years at her home in Florida as she struggled with pulmonary fibrosis. She cherished and enjoyed her dear family. After being married for 53 years to her late husband, Herman R. Diel (1937 - 2013), together they had 5 children Anita, Don, Bob, Laura, and Karen, 9 grandchildren Shellby, Deanna, Colby, Geena, Jessica, Bryant, Luke, Adam, and Ava, and 3 great-grandchildren Dahlia, Caylum, and Kamden. Every one of them truly a blessing she loved immensely. She also loved to knit & crochet. She created so many beautiful things, fulfilling the multiple requests from her family. She was someone who always saw the good, looked on the bright side, and she had a way that made your day that much better for having her been in it! She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Angela Curielli. A service for Diane will be determined at a later date where she will be with her late husband, Herman R. Diel, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
