Diana Thornwald, age 67, a resident of Villa Park, passed away December 22, 2020, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. She was born August 29, 1953 in Alton, Illinois to Alexander & Violet Hogle.

Diana grew up in Alton before moving to Carol Stream in 1971. She worked for Monogram Plastics in Addison for a few years. She married Don on April 7, 1973 and the two eventually settled in Villa Park in 1987 after their son, Matthew, was born and she became a stay at home mother. She was active at Trinity Lutheran Church in Villa Park where she volunteered for many services. Diana was very interested in her family history and researching her genealogy & ancestry.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Donald and her son Matthew. She is also survived by her siblings: Barbara (the late Joseph) Johnesee, Jim (Cathy) Hogle, Carl (JoAnn) Hogle & Eva (Bernard) Wright; and many nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by her other seven siblings.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
