Dennis G. Bentz, 79, a resident of Warrenville, IL, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Naperville, IL. He was born April 21, 1937 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Mr. Bentz worked as an accountant for Christian not-for-profit organizations before retiring at age 65. He was a dedicated member of the Warrenville Bible Chapel, where he also served as an elder. He was a leader in the Christian Boys Brigade and served on the board of Open Door for Teens. He was a life-long Green Bay Packers fan who enjoyed travel, especially attending the Arizona Arabian Horse Shows with his wife Jackie. He liked kayaking and was a classic car enthusiast as well.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughters, Lauri (Fil) Huerta and Lynn (Donn) Valentine; son, Mark (Melissa) Bentz; grandchildren, Jessica Ciaccio, Jianni Ciaccio, Tyler Valentine, Mitchell Valentine, and Juliet Bentz; and brother, Tom (Lenore) Bentz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldrid and Nelda Bentz.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26th from 2-6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St, Wheaton, IL 60187. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27th at 11:00 a.m. at
Warrenville Bible Chapel
