Debra J. Schmeltzer, age 49, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at home in Wheaton, IL. She was born September 13, 1966 in Melrose Park, IL.

Debbie grew up in Glen Ellyn, IL. She graduated from Glenbard West. She met her husband, Rob through her family members. It was love at first sight and they were married exactly one year from the day that they met. She worked at the DuPage Medical Group Clinic for 32 years. She loved her nieces and nephews and her cats.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Robert Schmeltzer; her parents, Robert and Sandra Schuler of Glen Ellyn, IL; her siblings, Amy (Chris) Kowal, Robert (Cynthia) Schuler, Jill (Thomas) Pitts, and Jon Schuler; eight nieces and nephews, Bradley (Stacey), Justin (Kelleye) and Adam, Robert (Mia), Jessica and Jacob, and Samantha and Jenna; and three great-nieces and nephews, Kyleeann, MacKenzie and Colton.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 5:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private.
