Deborah DiNicolantonio, age 57, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Journey Care Hospice, in Barrington, IL She was born July 25, 1956 in Monticello, IN.
Deborah was raised in Africa. She arrived there when she was five years old and remained until she completed high school. She then returned to the United States to attend college and graduate school. After completing her Master's degree in English Literature, Deborah embarked on a colorful career path: she taught at LeHigh University in Pennsylvania, worked in Advertising and Hospital Administration, as well as founding a business which trained and supplied butlers to homes all along the eastern seaboard. In addition, she was an accomplished artist and illustrator and a competitive ballroom dancer. Dance competitions took her to Europe and South America and served as an inspiration to create her own line of greeting cards and jewelry.
The last two years of her life were spent in Wheaton, IL where she moved to be near her mother, Audrey Congdon of Carol Stream, IL.
She is survived by mother, Audrey Congdon of Carol Stream, IL; and her brother, David (KC) Congdon of Lexington, IL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Garth Congdon.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Windsor Park, 134 Windsor Park Dr, in Carol Stream, IL. Interment will be private.
