David O. Williams, age 61, a resident of Des Plaines, formerly of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021, after surviving cancer for almost 40 years.  He was born October 27, 1959 in Alton, IL to James and Sarah Williams.

David grew up in Wheaton and graduated from Wheaton North High School and was a member of Wheaton Bible Church.  He was a master chef and enjoyed the culinary arts.  He was an outgoing person who enjoyed others and was known for his sense of humor. He was a generous person who was well loved and will be missed by many.

For almost 40 years he worked in the media industry with expertise in commercial real estate.

He is survived by four children, David Garett (Jennifer Riley) Williams, Melissa (Jake) Williams Wadja, Rachel (Josh) Williams Lund and Daniel Williams; his five granddaughters; his mother, Sarah Williams; and his sister, Beth (Chris Bloch) Wierenga. He was preceded in death by his father, James and one sister, Sarah Lynn Williams.

A memorial service will be held at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 E North Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185, on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this service will have limited capacity.
