David Lee Sullivan, 86, of Geneva, IL, passed away on Tuesday September 16, 2025. David grew up in Lincoln, IL and lived many years in Glen Ellyn, IL. He was born in Denver, CO.
David leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years Karen Annette (née Andersen) who he married on June 15, 1963, at Bethel United Church of Christ church in Elmhurst, IL. His devoted children Lisa (Jim) Di Silvio and Mark (Joan) Sullivan. His adored grandchildren Philip and Jason Sullivan.
David was an athlete during his school years, running on cross country and track teams during high school and college. After graduating from Illinois State University, David had a long career as an accountant. In retirement, David remained active, travelling internationally, spending much time in Door County, reading, bird watching, and enjoying all the sports games he could. Most important was family, especially his beloved wife Karen of 62 years. Together they had two children, Lisa (Jim) Di Silvio and Mark (Joan) Sullivan with grandchildren Philip and Jason.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30AM with a service at 10:30 AM at Hultgren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 304 N Main St, Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment will be immediately after the service at Chapel Hill Gardens West, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
