David W. Schroer's Obituary
David W. Schroer, age 61, a longtime resident of Wheaton, IL, went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2010 at home. He was born August 24, 1948 in Washington, MO.
David worked for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois in Chicago as a Counselor. He was a member of Evangel Baptist Church in Wheaton. He loved working with children and families, and being outside in God's creation of rocks, trees and water.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carole; his daughter, Robyn Schroer of Arlington Heights, IL; his sister, Judy (David) Cogburn of Broken Arrow, OK; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Bertha Schroer.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, from 4-8 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 18, at 10:00 A.M. at Evangel Baptist Church, 1900 Manchester Road, in Wheaton. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Evangel Baptist Church, 1900 Manchester Road, Wheaton, IL 60187; or to CNS Home Health and Hospice, 690 E. North Ave., Carol Stream, IL 60188.
