David Richard Martin, age 74, a longtime resident of Wheaton, IL, died Thursday, October 4, 2018, at his home in Wheaton. He was born in Chicago in 1944 to Tom and Irene Martin.

He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1965 and attended Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he received his Master of Arts in Christian Education. He served as youth pastor in several churches.

Dave worked at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago for 37 years as a Field Representative in the Stewardship Department. He attended Wheaton Bible Church for 63 years.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathy (nee Harris), one daughter, Laura (Tim) Atkinson of Wheaton and three grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah and Emily Atkinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Irene Martin.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 27 from 2 until 4 p.m. in the Chapel at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185.

A private interment will take place at Mt. Auburn Memorial Park in Stickney, Illinois.
