Obituary

David Edward Lingo, age 75, a resident of Wheaton, Il., formerly of Xenia, Ohio, passed away at home on April 8, 2020.  He was born on July 2, 1944 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Donald and Vivian Lingo. He attended and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan and earned a Masters of Science in Education from the University of Dayton.

For the past twenty-years, he worked with his family and friends at Wheaton Montessori School as the business manager. Previous to that he took early retirement from the Air Force Logistics Command of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio as well as teaching technology at various Southern Ohio colleges. During his free time, he always enjoyed running, race walking, cycling, and reading. He was a member of Gary Methodist Church of Wheaton.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eleanor and his daughters Rebecca Lingo and Elizabeth Berdick, five grandchildren, and his brothers Tedd Lingo of Celebration, FL and Scott Lingo of Crestwood, KY.

Due to the ongoing World Health Crisis a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be directed to Gary Methodist Church of Wheaton, IL and the American Cancer Society .
