David Lawrence Lewis, age 77, a lifelong resident of Wheaton, IL, died April 23, 2011, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. He was born November 5, 1933.

Dave graduated from Wheaton Community High School in 1952. He then graduated from Bradley University in 1957. On September 2, 1965 he married Carol Hert at Wheaton Bible Church. He enjoyed model trains, working on cars, and getting together for coffee with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Lewis, two daughters, Christine A. (Charles) Gardner of Klemme, Iowa and Cathi J. (Brian) Dykes of Palatine, grandchildren Charles L. Gardner and Abbigayle J. Dykes and his sister Donna Tegtmeyer of Granville, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Marian Lewis.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 4 to 8 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St, Wheaton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave. West Chicago, IL 60185. Interment will be held privately at Wheaton Cemetery.
