David J. Engeseth, age 59, a longtime resident of Wheaton, died Wednesday, January 4, at home. He was born on October 10, 1946 in Chicago to Elmer and Ruth Engeseth.
Dave served in Viet Nam in the First Military Intelligence Battalion working in Ariel reconnaissance. He was a co-owner of Scantec Commercial and Residential Cleaning Service. Most recently he worked for the Du Page Public Guardian.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne, two children, Erik (Brooke) and Kristen, cousins as well as relatives in Norway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his stepmother, Jenny Engeseth.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8 from 4 until 9 p.m. in the Commons at College Church, Washington and Seminary St. in Wheaton, where a memorial service will be held on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
Interment will be held privately.
