David James Bostwick, age 33, a resident of Champaign , IL, died April 17, 2023, in Winfield, Illinois, where he was also born on July 4, 1989 to Ed and Jamie Bostwick.

David graduated from the University of Illinois with an Electrical Engineering degree that he utilized to help keep the lights on for his fellow Illinoisans. He also pursued post graduate studies at Urbana Theological Seminary.

He was an imposing figure in size and stature but had a kind and gentle spirit (unless you were engaged in any form of competition with him).

His passions included: reading (JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis), writing, sports (Tennis, Golf, Chess), video gaming and most of all music, where he was an accomplished musician on many instruments including trumpet, guitar, bass, drums and vocals.

David was always ready to help others, loved serving his church family at Illini Life and glorifying God.

He is survived and will be deeply missed by his parents, Edward & Jamie Bostwick of Carol Stream, brothers Michael and Isaiah and sister, Rebecca Bostwick, Grandfather James Vander Wall and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by Grandparents David & Marlene Bostwick and Sharon Vander Wall.

A visitation will be held April 23, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, Wheaton. A funeral service will be held April 24, 2023 at 11:00am at Hultgren Funeral Home, Wheaton, IL.
