Darlene Joan Castle, age 90, a resident of Glendale Heights, IL, died September 24, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 25, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa to Richard G. and Lillian Jackson.

Darlene grew up in Clinton. She married Robert Charles Castle and they moved to Glendale Heights in 1962. She worked at J. C. Penny for over 30 years. In retirement she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her five children, Charlene Beals of North Aurora, Pegi Castle of Lombard, Carole Jelderks of Bradenton, FL, Robert (Jean) Castle of Branson, MO and Sherri Castle of Glendale Heights, four grandchildren, Bradley (Nicole) and Kyle (Jordan) Castle, Stephanie (Juan) Romero and Amanda Stacey, six great-grandchildren, Anthony and Lynsey Castle, Marc, Anthony and Dominick Romero and Easton Castle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Castle in 1986.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, from 1 until 5 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Clinton Lawn Cemetery South, 2610 Manufacturing Dr., Clinton, IA 52732 on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
