Danuta "Donna" Maria Koszyca, age 78, a resident of Carol Stream, IL passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025.  She was born December 15, 1946 in Poland to Wladyslaw Ledniowski and Aniela Ulak.

Donna touched the hearts of many with her positivity, energy, and love for life. She had a gift for giving thoughtful advice and was always there to offer guidance to anyone who needed it.

Donna cherished spending time with her family and friends, always bringing warmth, laughter, and love to every gathering. Whether hosting parties, dancing with friends, or enjoying a cruise with loved ones, she embraced life to the fullest. Her positive attitude and bright spirit were evident in all that she did.

She enjoyed soap operas, flowers, cooking Polish dishes, and baking. Her home was a place of love, care, and creativity—where she enjoyed working on home projects and spending time in her garden.

We are grateful for her wonderful neighbors who provided care and support to Donna throughout her last thirty years. Their kindness will always be remembered.

Her legacy of love, laughter, and joy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. As my Mom would say, "Just be happy and live your life to the fullest."

She is survived by her daughter Renata (Scott) Moore; her grandchildren Colin and Mason whom she loved deeply; her siblings Irena (Jozef) Kucaba and Alicja (Henry) Krupa.

She was preceded in death by her son Roman Gabara, her parents, sister Wesia Doering, brother Krzysztof Ledniowski and companion, Zygmunt Nowak.

Relatives & friends are invited to meet directly inside the front gate of Assumption Cemetery, 1S510 Winfield Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189, for a graveside service on Friday, March 14th at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of memorial gifts, donations may be directed to The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL.
