Daniel Long, age 63, a longtime resident of Wheaton, IL, died on Friday, January 14, 2022, due to an ongoing heart condition. He was born March 25, 1958 in Chicago to Robert and Elaine Long.

He grew up in Winfield and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1977. He worked in the glass industry for many years. Dan enjoyed music. He played guitar and enjoyed all music, especially classic rock. Most of all he enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Long, three children, Joe (Audrey) Long, Kelly (Erik) Gandy, and Patrick Long, four grandchildren, Logan, Carter, Benjamin and Zachary. He is also survived by his brothers, Bob, Richard (Kathy), Matt (Cindy), and Mike Long. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert and his parents.

A memorial gathering will be held later this year.
