Daniel Patrick Coleman, 76, a resident of Aurora, IL passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014. He was born on September 13, 1938 in Chicago, IL.
As a youth, Daniel attended St. Vincent DePaul School in Chicago, IL and is a graduate of Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL. He was a member at Calvary Church in Naperville. Along with his wife of 50 years, Daniel enjoyed traveling overseas to volunteer in ministry with numerous charitable organizations. When not traveling, Daniel was actively volunteering his time at Covenant Christian School in Aurora; attending his grandchildren's various athletic events; and spending time at the cabin on Lake Delavan. Daniel could also be found at your local airport enjoying flying his Cessna 172 from place to place.
Daniel is survived by his 3 children: a daughter, Laura (David) Mangum; and two sons, Scott (Leslie) Coleman and Patrick (Amy) Coleman; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, and Rebecca Senft, Hansen, Elizabeth, Peter, and Forrest Coleman, and Madison, Caleb, and Christian Coleman; and one great-grandchild, Elijah Senft. Surviving also is a brother Donald (Arlene) Coleman from Escondido, CA.
Daniel was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Rose; his mother Irene Anderson; and a brother, Dennis Coleman.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 in the chapel at
Calvary Church
, 9S200 Illinois Rt. 59, Naperville, IL 60564 from 9:30 a.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at the East Delavan Union Cemetery in Delavan, WI at roughly 2:30 p.m.
