Obituary
Dane E. Hendricksen, age 23, a resident of Wheaton, died Friday, February 25, in Chicago. He was born January 5, 1982 in Oak Lawn.
Dane attended the University of Iowa for two years before transferring and graduating from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor's Degree. He had a unique passion for life; he especially loved his family; and he will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was proud to be awesome.
He is survived by his mother, Jenny (Kevin) Menk; his father, Bruce; two brothers, Arne (Beth), and Kjell (lady friend Mary McNeal); his maternal grandmother, Shirley Hall; his paternal grandmother, Nell; three aunts, Carol, Sue Hall, and Patty (Jack) Vonder Heide; one uncle, Tom (Ann) Hall; two cousins, Wayne and Sally Vonder Heide; two step-brothers, Kyle and Kelly Menk; and one step-sister, Morgan Menk.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wayne Hall; and his paternal grandfather, William.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, from 3:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A memorial service will immediately follow across the street at 8:00 P.M. at Gary Memorial United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Hawthorne Elementary School, 334 Wakeman Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187.
