Obituary

Dalisay "Daly" Anagaran Lacson, age 81, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 8, 1945, in Cotabato City, Philippines, to Ricardo Anagaran and Rosa Sarceda.

She earned her bachelor's degree at University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines and went on to work as an architect in Chicago. She was an intelligent, creative, determined, and incredibly hardworking woman. On August 14, 1972, she married Norberto "Norby" Lacson. Later, she partnered with her husband at Lacson and Associates, where her architectural expertise and creative vision contributed to their shared success. Together they built a life centered around faith and family.

She was a woman of remarkable strength and a true servant leader. Her life centered around caring for the people she loved. She faithfully cared for her own parents, honoring them with her time and devotion, and later poured that same love into her husband, three daughters, and three grandchildren.

She was known for her extraordinary hospitality. Family gatherings at Daly's home were filled with wonderful meals, laughter, and warmth. She worked tirelessly to make sure everyone was cared for, often cooking, serving, and tending to others without complaint. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome and loved.

She had a special love and gift for gardening. She lovingly tended her flowers and plants, creating beauty around her wherever she could. Her outdoor gardens were lush, vibrant expressions of care—so magazine-quality that friends and family marveled at her remarkable green thumb. But more than that, her garden reflected the way she lived her life—with patience, care, and devotion, always nurturing what had been entrusted to her and helping those around her flourish. Like everything she touched, her gardens were a testament to the love she poured into the world.

She adored being a Lola and was always there for her apos whenever they needed her. She cared for them, prayed for them, laughed with them, and loved them deeply.

Her faith was an important part of her life. She was a prayer warrior who faithfully prayed for her husband, daughters, grandchildren, parents, and family. She showed the love of Jesus not only through her words, but through the way she served and cared for others.

She was also wonderfully funny, sassy, playful, and full of life. She had a spark that could light up a room, and her laughter and sense of humor brought joy to those around her. She loved to sing loud and dance, filling her home and the hearts of those around her with music and unbridled joy.

Daly will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother and Lola, faithful daughter, accomplished architect, prayer warrior, servant leader, and a mighty woman of strength. Above all, she will be remembered for the way she loved her family so deeply and faithfully.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norberto "Norby" Lacson, her parents Ricardo and Rosa Anagaran; her sister Tagumpay Jabido; her brother, Ricardo Anagaran Jr; parent in-laws, Benjamin and Emilia Lacson; sister in-law, Minda Anagaran; brother in-law Isidro Casimiro and her loving golden retriever, Brando.

She is survived by her three daughters, Annalissa (Ed) Yamashita of Madison, Wisconsin; Jenine (Philip) Rolfe of Sarasota, Florida; and Elaine (Dan) Cameron of Denver, Colorado; her three beloved grandchildren, Isabelle, Gabriel, and Jacob; brother, Ambrosio Anagaran; sister in-laws, Marcelina Lacson, Christina Casimiro, Teresita Anagaran, and her nieces, Christine, Rica, Kathy, Joanna May, Kristy and Pauline Rose.

Daly's family finds comfort in her faith in Jesus Christ and in the promise of eternal life.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."    —    2 Timothy 4:7

Her life was one of faith, strength, service, laughter, and love.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Hyland Crossings in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, for the exceptional care and kindness they showed Daly during her time there.
