Cynthia Loy Nichols, a resident of Niles, IL, died April 20, 2009 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. She was born May 15, 1931 in Henry, IL.
She graduated from Wheaton Community High School (1949) and Wheaton College (1955), receiving her R.N. degree through a combined program with West Suburban Hospital and Wheaton College.
Ms. Nichols worked as a nurse at West Suburban Hospital, St. Luke's Presbyterian Hospital, Passavant Memorial Hospital, Wesley Memorial Hospital, and for many years as a Doctor of Therapeutic Naprasage (D.T.N.).
Cynthia was known as Cindy by her friends. She enjoyed playing the flute and piano. Throughout her life, Bible study and prayer served as a foundation for each day.
Ms. Nichols is survived by five nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Muriel Nichols (Wheaton, IL) and her brother, Roger L. Nichols (Golden Valley, MN).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26th, 2009, 1-2 p.m. at the Wheaton Bible Church (27W500 North Ave / West Chicago, IL 60185).
Interment will be at Wheaton Cemetery (Wheaton, IL) immediately following the memorial service.
