Cynthia Ann Higgin, age 78, of Naperville, IL, passed away at home on August 20, 2026. Known as “Cindy” to her friends, she was born on June 5, 1948, in Henryetta, OK to Francis Joseph "Bud" Prullage and Joanne "Dody" Moore Shafer.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Modica (Matt); grandchildren Jack, Luke, Molly, and Maisie; sisters Vickie Prullage Murray and Janet Prullage White; nephews Derek Murray and Bart Goodwin (Wendie); and niece Brandy Goodwin.

Cindy had a meaningful career in the customer service industry and really enjoyed working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, where she met several life long friends. She loved Mary Engelbreit, collecting Norman Rockefeller plates, and smooth jazz. Her boisterous laugh lit up every room. Cindy was an avid knitter and made many “first” baby blankets over the years. None were more special than the ones she made for her grandchildren, who called her Grammy. She was always the happiest when she spent time with her daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. She loved just watching her grandkids play. She was an incredibly proud Grammy.
