Obituary

Curtiss Carl Wallin of Wheaton, IL passed away peacefully at 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Curtiss was 93 years of age. He is survived by a son, Andrew (Christina), a daughter, Janine, and a grandson, Carl.

Curtiss was born in Flint, MI to Carl and Vera Wallin. He graduated with a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan in 1942. He began his career as an engineer with the Sun Oil Company in Chester, PA and his many achievements included design patents on Sun Oil's innovative custom blending fuel pump. In 1970 Curtiss and his beloved wife, Doris, moved to West Chicago, IL to take on a position with Amoco Oil Company as a Chief Research Engineer. Curtiss retired in 1984 and he and his wife traveled extensively around the world for a number of years. In his time, Curtiss was a very accomplished tennis player and played in several Senior Olympics around the country.

He will be laid to rest at the Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL, alongside his wife of 64 years, Doris Marie Holen Wallin, who passed away in 2008. Burial will be private.

Curtiss was a believer in Jesus the Messiah. His memory is precious to all his family and friends. Donations in his memory are requested to be made to the ASPCA in lieu of flowers (www.aspca.org).
